We inspect the carpet fibres, condition, stains and high-traffic areas before selecting suitable cleaning options and chemicals. We also plan for any extra requirements, furniture removal and commercial drying options. We can provide a quote by measuring the carpet area in square metres.
Detailed dry vacuum
We use a powerful industrial-grade vacuum to remove as much loose soil, dry debris, pet and human hair, and allergens as possible before applying any cleaning solution. We also use a crevice tool to remove dust trapped along edges and skirting boards.
Fibre-matched pre-spray
An appropriate pre-spray is selected based on the carpet fibre, such as wool or nylon. High-traffic areas receive the right amount of solution. We also treat stains, urine and odour issues where required.
CRB / orbital machine scrub
Where included, we use a CRB or orbital machine to work the pre-spray through the carpet fibres. Depending on the carpet type, this process helps loosen embedded soil, pet hair and organic staining while lifting the carpet pile in preparation for extraction. This step is what sets our carpet-cleaning method apart.
Steam extraction
Hot-water steam extraction and powerful commercial-grade suction remove loosened soil and thoroughly rinse the carpet to neutralise any remaining cleaning solution. The results are visible in the recovered dirty water, which we can show you after the clean.
Final inspection & drying guidance
We inspect the results with you and explain the drying process. In good weather, with low humidity and good airflow, carpets are typically dry enough to walk on within 3 to 8 hours. Weather, humidity and ventilation can affect drying time, so allow damp air to escape and fresh air to circulate. Avoid placing metal or timber items on the carpet or walking on it with dirty shoes. For enclosed buildings, we can provide commercial air movers and dehumidifiers.
This is our deep-cleaning method, which includes scrubbing. Low-moisture cleaning follows a different process. We also offer a more cost-effective standard carpet-cleaning method. Both standard and deep carpet cleaning are priced by the square metre.

After inspecting the carpet, we select a method suited to its fibre, condition and staining. Our deep-clean process can include detailed dry vacuuming, a fibre-matched pre-spray, CRB or orbital agitation, and controlled hot-water extraction using commercial-grade equipment.
Is hot-water extraction the same as steam cleaning?
Hot-water extraction is commonly called steam cleaning. Heated water and cleaning solution are applied in a controlled way, then extracted with loosened soil and moisture.
Do you clean residential and commercial carpets?
Yes. WCS provides carpet cleaning for homes, offices and other commercial premises. Fibre, access, timing, preparation and drying requirements are confirmed for the property.
How do you price carpet cleaning?
We price carpet cleaning by the square metre. We can measure the carpeted areas using a laser measure, or provide an online estimate based on the property size and estimated carpet area, then confirm the price on site. Stain treatment, furniture moving, excessive pet hair and heavily soiled carpets may incur additional costs, which we will discuss with you.
Can every stain and odour be removed?
We cannot guarantee that every stain or odour will be removed. We use suitable chemicals and methods to treat them safely wherever possible. Results depend on the carpet fibre, what caused the stain, how long it has been present and any previous treatment. Avoid using DIY products if you are unsure, as they can make some stains harder to remove.
How long will carpets take to dry?

Do you move furniture?
Yes. Please tell us when booking if you need furniture moved so we can schedule enough carpet-cleaning technicians. Larger or fixed furniture may not need to be moved; we can confirm the best approach with you before the clean.
